  • HOOVIE.... this was very ELVIS of YOU

  • I'm no "wizard" but it sounded almost like the ignition timing is way off. The starting issue and the way it idled.

  • Is that hood-holding wooden pole standard equipment on a Corvette like that or do you have to buy that separately?

  • Crossfire's are not hard to work on. Fix vacuum leaks intake gaskets, balance tbi's, iacs and turn up the fuel pressure on the driver tbi. Most are set at 9psi from the factory and that's not enough pressure to run correctly as they age. I adjust them to 12psi and makes a massive difference on quick start, idle and throttle response. I made my own manometer for 5 bucks to balance my tbi's.

  • Other seat looks wonky lop sided

  • @2:27 ur welcome.

  • Crossfire living up to its reputation.

  • Lmao I remember towing this for you.

  • Let's look on the positive side. Hoovie did not spill all the small steel ball bearings into the intake.

  • Don't pump the gas on a Fuel Injected engine.

  • what a piece of crap😅

  • I love videos like this. I can’t even say how much an old hooptie that’s not worth much at all can really change someone’s life for the better. I’ve had a rough couple years between a marriage, divorce and then Covid killing what was left of my business and it’s hard to just keep my transportation running and legal. I think having a relatively sorted old car would be great to be able to take my kids to car meets and the like and them getting to experience driving and fixing an old car and then enjoying when it works. For now though we walk around the and enjoy other peoples cars so we get half the experience anyway.

  • YALL GOT A KFC BUFFET????

  • Throttle position sensor, thanks for the pro tip!

  • Did he fix the non-flipping headlight?

    • I agree with you and welcome to my channel about cars

  • As always, it’s your heart we all love, Tyler!

  • Great video. It appeals to both corvette and vintage toy enthusiasts.

  • Hoovie.. get yourself a C2 man.

  • i face palmed myself when the gift failed to start and had to recharge the battery haha.

  • YASSSS best game of my childhood.

  • I was so perplexed. I was like what kind of air filter system is that?

  • Dude is such a good guy

  • you know that thing died on the guy on his ride home

  • And it went to a fellow Brit too. The English are Coming!! 😁

  • Another brilliant idea from Chevy engineers

  • Friend on fb who sold you the car probably laughing to himself watching this with how convinced you are $40 fixed the car.

  • Just needed some c batteries

  • 2:28 AYO wizard I wanna hear you sing. You have the vocals 🎶🎶

  • The worst time period for the corvette design team.

  • Love to see people being good to one another, especially after this past year or so. I never really see that anymore. Tx Hoovie.

  • LMHO....ENJOY MY $$ HOOVIE FIND ME ON LIKE THIS FOR A GRAND N ILL LOVE U 4EVER...LOLOLOL

  • _And now you know why the first year C4 has a bad rep as a used pos. That said, the fourth generation lasted for 13 model years so the car ended up being a win for Chevrolet and the Corvette community. (Love my '96 Corvette convertible, six fourth gens later I might add). Tyler: you've certainly come a long way with your channel and your burger business, congrats!_

  • Crossfire looks like a way to make the runners longer without a higher hood.

  • They don’t even peel out?

  • Love the bonnet (hood) prop

  • I have the 85 TPI version and i love it. It's a really fun car. We did 3000+ miles road trips in it with zero issues.

  • He's disappointed about the fridge lol

  • every c4 owner knows, 1/4 tank = empty

  • Merry Christmas Y'ALL!!!

  • This episode reminds me of angery video game nerds board james.

  • I had an '82 and it was incredibly simple. Once you drilled out the PERMANENT factory covers over the adjustment screws, you just hook up a water manometer because everyone has one, then go to the auto parts store to buy a bent screwdriver, then once you get back home just turn the screws to adjust the water level in the meter. Simple! I sold it after a year....

  • Very nice gesture. Kind of a bummer that the moment was tarnished a bit by the car not starting. Probably oversold the Fridge too. "1 year old Samsung with french doors, wifi and temperature sense, $50". Guy was disappointed.

  • Mate! Can u please give me a car? Im on the bones of my ass. But im a fitter. So i can fix anything. Im 52 n live left me behind a bit.(chics n kids) Id b so stoked if this dream came true. 😔 peace!

  • yes wiz fixed it with a $40 part and a thousand to fit it

  • I had a 1984 vette and I could never get it to run right either

  • OK, only 530,000 views, BUT I can honestly say this is the kind of video I love to see. I remember when the 1984 Vette came out, and a neighbor bought one...we would go over and drool on the hood. BUT he never drove it...and now we know why. Is it true you can ruin the motor by taking a long high G corner and running 1/2 of the motor dry of oil? Or kill the engine by the same means because the crossfire injection couldn't feed 1/2 the motor fuel? GOOD TIMES!!!!

  • Worst vette made

  • This body style was gawd awful. I always think they looked at Ferrari as a model then added right angles.

  • CROSSFIRE

  • Wow that is slow

  • Personally I think that’s an awesome gesture I have had Porsche 986 for several years but the wife kinda confiscated it as her daily driver lol but I then got to buy a 94 C4 Corvette just love the style and is now my daily driver and I think this guy will love that and he seems to like to tinker so good for him. Thanks for the video.

  • Woah!!! You guys got a KFC Buffet?!?!

  • “You’ve been caught up in the - CROSSFIYAH!!! Crossfiyah!” Like if you remember what I’m babbling about. 😉 Edit: That man didn’t seem very excited about his new Corvette. In fact, he seemed rather disappointed it wasn’t a refrigerator and he obviously loves that unlovely old truck much more than he does his new Vette. 🤔

  • Hoovie, veteran here! Next give away I’d love to be a lucky recipient of a car. I’m in need one of one! Love your videos buddy

  • That was such a great game!! I had that and loved it. Good call!!

  • $40 part + wizard = priceless

  • That British guy has well and truly adopted the scruffy US approach to attire

  • I thought they had the LT1 engines? No?

  • The Crossfire game bit was pure genius!

  • Hoovie do I still have the Lincoln mark 8 I absolutely love those cars and always wanted one I have a tan one with tan interior with 43,000 Original miles on it if you would ever consider selling that one would you let me know if you still have thanks

  • So the Car Wizard replaced the alternator but didn't recharge the battery!?!

  • Crossfire is just tune port is where it's at...

  • this episode kept on delivering lol

  • Is always a pleasure to watch your videos Hoopster

  • Cringe compilation gold. Hoovie's so out of touch

  • 1984 was a weird model, but C4s are cool cars.

  • That guy is English? Go on give some info hoov? Where’s he from I guess northern England?

  • Hahaha.. that's the worst feeling.. selling/giving away something, and suddenly it doesnt work..

  • Cream Puff!

  • Hey Hoovie when you want to get rid of another refrigerator give me a call. Ok thanks! :)

  • That game was awesome when I was little

  • Tyler what the heck is up with that crooked passenger seat?

  • 8:02 ooh look a Pontiac Aztek!

  • English man ?

  • Guy probably actually needed a fridge that day.

  • KFC has a buffet? I was not aware of this! lol

  • I recognise that accent ole boy 👍

  • If I didn't live in California. I can't bring any car home that isn't already registered in California or the neighbors will use code harassment. I wish I could get a C4 that I could daily for that low (Well whatever it would cost to bring that C4 up to passing smog, which would be more than $2k for sure).

  • It's so funny how the older ecms only see so much. Working on OBD 1 is like working on a boiler. It's all about the KISS method. I love old cars and trucks!

  • I love New Balance. It's the only brand of tennis shoes I will wear.

  • This joker doesn’t deserve it from the dumbass comment

  • 13:06 is when he thinks "shit mate I just wanted a fridge"

  • Wow i love that car, hope someday i have ike that, Your a good man

  • The A-TEAM VETTE . Only I hated Face Man's Paint Job White / Orange Stripe?????

  • I’d so buy that

  • 'wizard' works on the car and it breaks down, 'wizard' fixes it again and it won't start.

  • If u still got it I’ll buy it from u

  • Thats defiitely dow at least a cylider or two bro. Also, guess which keys o y keyboard are broke .

  • Hoovie's Garage, the most inefficient method for HRdown money to flow to the Wizard.

  • Are you sure there isn't a diesel engine in that? Did the wizard put water in the fuel tank, it's easily done in his shop.

  • a Free car is like a free dog....

  • Awesome. Way to go. 👍👍

  • Corvette corvette

  • That explains why in 85 they put the tuned port injection 350 in there.

  • That moment when the recipient realizes WHY your giving away a Corvette...too funny!

  • Thanks for the entertainment

  • hoovie!!🤣😂😂🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

  • bet you don't often get Northern Englishmen around these parts

  • You're a solid guy, Hoovie. You're paying it forward in spades. Thanks for giving back to the community, and caring for thy neighbor (although your literal neighbors probably don't enjoy all the cars clogging up the cul-de-sac!). Keep it up, brotha!

  • I remember the car magazines such as Motor Trend going crazy over the 1984 Corvette. It represented a major redesign of the Corvette, and it was totally cool. I would love to have that one as a weekend car.
